March 2017

Greetings Flying Fish! Welcome to the 2017 Summer season. I hope all of you have had a fantastic off-season and are ready for a great year. We will start out our season at Parker on May 4th & will practice there until school gets out. Starting June 5th, we will move over to Fort Caroline Pool. Home meets, as always, will be at Parker.

Things you Need to Know

Registration will be Sunday, April 9th from 1 - 5 pm at Ft. Caroline Pool. We will have a second registration session at Parker on May 2nd from 6 - 7:30 pm. You can also register at practices through June 2. All paperwork must be turned in to participate in a meet. New swimmers need to turn in a copy of your birth certificate. This also applies to anyone who didn’t swim last year. If you are coming to us from another River City Swim League team, you must fill out a Change of Team form. These are available at the River City Swim League website.

Meet Eligibility: We are happy to have swimmers of all ages and abilities join us over the summer. Just as a reminder though, in order to participate in a meet, a swimmer must:

1) Have turned in all paperwork (registration form, birth certificate [if applicable], change of team form [if applicable])

2) Have paid their fees

3) Be able to swim the length of the pool, unassisted

All swimmers who participate in a meet during the course of the season will receive a trophy at the end of the year; swimmers who participate in practices only will receive participation awards.
